MEDITATION WORKSHOPS
w/ Joni Sturgill
Saturday, May 10th 2008
1-3:15 p.m.
Meditation can lower blood pressure, reduce acute and chronic pain, improve muscle response time, relax the diaphragm and internal organs, increase breathing efficiency, and reduce anxiety and stress. It can add to the quality of your life by teaching you to be fully alert, aware and alive!
In this workshop, we'll warm up with a few minutes of gentle yoga, then practice several different meditation and breath techniques (with stretching breaks in between). Class will end with Yoga Nidra, a deep guided relaxation. Whether you're new to meditation or experienced, join us and enjoy the positive energy and feeling of community when we meditate together!
Joni Sturgill, R.Y.T, has been practicing and studying yoga and meditation since 1999. Her dedicated practice led her to start teaching in 2005. She completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training program through the 3rd Street Yoga School and has additional training from multiple conferences and workshops taught by Rodney Yee, Judith Lasater, Desiree Rumbaugh, Bhavani Lorraine Nelson, and other respected yoga & meditation teachers.

YOGARHYTHMICS
®
w/ Nicole Zellie
Friday, May 16th 2008
6:30-8 p.m.
Ever find yourself rocking out to music in your car? Or start dancing up a storm in your room to your favorite song? Then you understand the powerful nature of music and how it unleashes all different forms of movement in your body. Here’s your chance to transform those movements in a safe and sacred place combining yoga postures, breathwork, free-form movement, and creative play all wrapped into one exhilarating class - YogaRhythmics
®.
It has long been studied that music awakens and revives our chakras - the 7 energy centers in our bodies. Each one is responsible for a particular part of our emotional, physical, and spiritual health. Through a structured sequence of natural movement patterns the principles of yoga come alive - love, acceptance, compassion, contentment, and integrity are at the heart of YogaRhythmics
®.
Join us as we take you on a musical and movement journey through your chakras to energize and align these energy centers. You will leave feeling refreshed - awakening your inner child at times - with a big smile on your face. No dance experience required - just a willingness to move and BE MOVED!
