ABOUT ERIN

For as long as she can remember, Erin Albert, CMT has been passionate about healing the earth and its people. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, she began her own healing path through Reiki and Tai Chi with John Wingert, Reiki Master. In the summer of 2002 she was introduced to yoga by her dear friend, Karen Tinaglia, a full time yoga instructor. That summer, her daily practice and the study of yoga with Karen transformed her life. She realized that healing the world needed to start with each individual person.

After returning to the Pittsburgh area, Erin continued her study of yoga with instructor Pat Trudeau and the instructors at Breathe Yoga Studio while trying to find her niche in the healing arts. This led her to pursue a second degree in Therapeutic Massage at Career Training Academy where she was trained in the following modalities - Swedish Massage, Reflexology, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue, Chiropractic Assistance, Shiatsu, Sports Massage, Acuyoga, and Geriatric Massage. She graduated with honors in 2005 from the 600 hour Therapeutic Massage Program.

In addition to offering Massage Therapy at Breathe Yoga Studio, Erin works to educate people about the importance of the energy conservation through her job at Conversation Consulting Inc.

An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
